MAHWAH – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Route 17 gas station early Thursday morning.
The alleged robber, an average-sized male wearing a green sweatshirt and ski mask, walked into the Liberty Gas Station at about 3 a.m., flashed a silver pistol and demanded the attendant empty the register, said Mahwah Lt. Scott Cherven.
Mahwah police are asking anyone with information to call the department at 201-529-1000.Police said there is no history of robberies at the gas station.
This is the second robbery in Mahwah this week – according to federal officials, a man and a woman robbed a TD Bank on Route 17 north on Sunday.
